New Releases

 Carolyn Miller is happy to announce a few new releases of her piano music!

Stormy Seas -  This is my first mid-intermediate solo.  It sounds very difficult, but really isn’t that difficult to play.  It has lots of broken chords and inversions. It is a great recital solo.   The title was suggested by a student .

Stampede – This is an early intermediate solo.  It needs to be played with lots of energy . It fits well under the hands making it easier to play. Students will love playing this piece and teachers will be happy with the teaching value of this piece.

There are chords, inversion, contrasting legato and staccato and dynamic changes.

The Perceptive Detective -  This is an early elementary solo with teacher accompaniment.  It sound mysterious.  Students will use 2-note slurs combined with long slurs.  There are many things to learn or review in this solo  such as D.S. al Coda, legato, staccato, crescendo, dynamics and 8va.

Extra Special Day – This is an early elementary solo in the key of F major.  It also has lyrics.  The piece mostly stays in the position with the thumbs on middle C.  It alternates between single notes and hands together.  It should be played with lots of energy.  There are two fermatas for the (big dark clouds).  Students will review the flat and natural signs along with the accent sign.  It is fun to play.

Tango in D Minor – duet    This is a duet for the Early Intermediate level.  It has the n tango rhythm and should be played with lots of style and enthusiasm.

Teaching Little Fingers to Play Broadway -  I have arranged wonderful Broadway songs for the beginner.  Some of the songs are Edelweiss, I Won’t Grow Up, Who will Buy, and Maybe.

Another book titled Teaching Little Fingers to Play More Broadway will be out soon. It also has lots of Broadway songs arranged for the mid-late elementary level.
